Sultana returned to the Bay Area in 2024 where she continues to perform and teach locally and across the country. Sultana's goal is to help all bodies discover the joy and comfort of bellydance movement as well as share a part of her culture.

Kat has been dancing her whole life. She trained in Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Hiphop, Contemporary, and Modern dance and has taught and performed with local companies in Alabama, South Carolina, and the Bay Area (since she moved here in 2012). Most recently she taught a virtual, fat-positive dance class promoting body liberation. Kat knows that many dance and fitness spaces can be exclusionary and harsh on the body and body image. She wants to tap into the side of dance that is self-care, catharsis, embodiment, pleasure, and empowerment. Her Shimmy Pop is low impact on joints, but high energy and expression. Kat loves biking, cats, being an aunt, and learning more about her Assyrian Lebanese ancestry.

Restorative Sundays / FREE Community Stretch Jam - Indoor Only

Community Stretch Jam class is part of Hipline's weekly "Restorative Sundays" suite of classes. This class rotates every four weeks along with Rest Well Yoga, Mindful Mobility, and Release n' Roll.

"Restorative Sundays" reinforces the idea that restoration is just as important as the strength and cardio stuff, and dedicating a timeslot to these classes hopefully makes it easier to incorporate into your weekly class schedules.

Join us for Community Stretch Jam, a unique and inclusive stretch class that brings our community together to connect and build community. No experience needed. This class offers a flexible, freestyle format where participants can explore various stretching techniques in a supportive and welcoming environment. There is no instructor guiding this session. Come with any movement accessories or props to support you in this 1-hour gathering to free style stretch and/or put to use what we've learned in the other Restorative Sunday classes.

Whether you're a seasoned stretcher or new to the practice, our community-focused session encourages connection, relaxation, and the joy of movement.

Most recently she taught a virtual, fat-positive dance class promoting body liberation. Kat knows that many dance and fitness spaces can be exclusionary and harsh on the body and body image. She wants to tap into the side of dance that is self-care, catharsis, embodiment, pleasure, and empowerment. Her Shimmy Pop is low impact on joints, but high energy and expression. Kat loves biking, cats, being an aunt, and learning more about her Assyrian Lebanese ancestry.
